These maps were prepared using the July 2000 water-level data collected by
American Soda personnel from the American Soda monitoring wells in the vicinity of Zero to
Five Year Mining Panel. To provide a consistent comparison of these data, the as-measured
water levels recorded in the monitoring wells have been normalized to an equivalent freshwater
head.
The contours of potentiometric head were drawn using the kriging function in the Golden
Software package SURFER (Win32), Version 6.O1. Because of the variable data density in the
Upper- and Lower-Aquifer measuring points, we did not attempt to extend the calculated
potentiometric contours beyond the field of the data. However, both the Upper- and Lower-
Aquifer maps are presented at the same scale for ease of comparison.
If you have any questions concerning these maps, please do not hesitate to call me.
.~..~: ere ~ p~
Gf.(.«r~t~'
Dr. Geo aulnier Jr.
Enclosure: Potentiometric Maps
cc: Celina Akin, American Soda, L.L.P.
Ed Cooley, American Soda, L.L.P.
