We have the following comments to offer:
'-~"
1. An adjacent landowner has asked if the district has the authority to deny this
application. We explained that our responsibility was lirnited to erosiori-controi
issues.
2. It was not clear if the amount of water needed to process and clean the sand from
the pit would impact the surrounding wells in the area.
3. With the anticipated traffic to and from the pit, dust control will be needed on a
continuing basis -especially during the wind season in this area.
4. Noxious weed control will be essential during concurrent reclamation of the
mined area.
We have no additional comments to offer.
Sincerely,
G~7~~L
Gien Erme] _
President El Paso County Conservation District
CC: Rocky Mtn.
