WOLF FANG
SITE G: Center, N390 1.458', W1050 18.826'; area, 0.84 acre.
SITE O: Center, N390 1.541', W1050 18.910'; area, 0.68 acre.
SITE P: Center, N39° 1.485', W105' 18.890'; area, 0.41 acre.
SITE Q: Center, N39° 1.530', W105' 18.698'; area, 0.21 acre.
Sites H and I located on the Elk Horn claim will be dropped. These sites are covered
under a separate mining permit held by Colorado Calumet Co. Inc. Glacier Peak will not
mine these two sites. Colorado Calumet will do so under its permit. These sites totaled
0.65 acres and will be reallocated to Sites A and B on the Smoky Hawk claim.
Specifically, I wish to increase the permitted area at Site B from 0.84 acre to 1.28 acres as
indicated on the corrected map. I also wish to increase Site A from 1.4 acres to 1.55
acres as indicated on the corrected map.
These changes do not change the total permitted acreage of 9.97 acres (.07 acre remains
unallocated).
I will retain the small buffer zones along the drainages on both sides of each site.
These changes will be reflected in future maps and reports to the Division.
6.5 GEOTECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT
The blasting sites are located within National Forest along slopes of less than 30 percent
grade. The hillsides are forested except where burned by the Hayman fine of 2002. The
only improvements within a one -mile radius are four -wheel drive roads. There are no
structures within a one -mile radius. No damage will occur through seismic vibrations
arising from limited blasting of low intensity as long as standard blasting practices are
strictly followed. Peak particle velocity will not exceed 5fps.
Submitted:
DORRIS
Glacier Peak Mining
1 Attch
Current reclamation map
and proposed dig site changes
