EXHIBIT S--PERMANENT MAIM-MADE STRUCTURES
County Road 228 accesses the mining property from US Highway 50 and traverses the
affected lands at two locations. County Road 228 has remained open for public use at all
times unless temporarily blocked off during blasting operations. Progression of mining
operations 10-15 years in the future may entail re-location of Road 228 to the southern
end of the current mining zone (see future mine plan map Exhibit Cc) to facilitate access
to the west slope above current mining operations. Road re-location will be approved by
USFS prior to any changes made in the current route through and above the Taylor Gulch
historic and active mining azea.
The former tramway right-of--way is a historic right-of--way, which approaches the south-
eastern corner of the affected land boundary but does not enter within affected land area.
The historic right-of--way is now limited to anon-maintained clearing through the forest,
old power poles, cable, and mine related metal trash. An adit opening gated and secured
by Colorado Abandoned Mined Land actions within the past twenty yeazs is located in
the southeastern comer of the affected land boundary. The closed adit will not be
disturbed. This structure is located on Colorado Marble property.
Letters of agreement with USFS and Chaffee County have been drawn up to request
approval and acknowledgement of the road use.
34
