Response to Inquiry from OSE
Dear Ms. Love:
As part of the amendment approval process of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
(DMG), various agencies are asked to review the submitted amendment package. Your office
has reviewed the referenced documents. In a letter from Mr. Allen Sorenson to Climax dated
August 31, 2005, it was noted that the OSE had placed an inquiry regarding the impact of the
proposed amendment of existing water rights.
Climax asked W.W. Wheeler and Assoc, Inc., water engineering contractors to Climax, to prepare
a response addressing this issue. A copy of this response in attached and has been submitted
directly to the DMG. The project proposed in AM-05 will have no impact on existing water rights
near the project location, nor will it alter the historic operation of those existing rights.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 719-486-2150 ext. 723, or at 303-421-4680.
Sincerely,
J ' % `.~-
Jeffre .Todd
Tod Consulting rvice for
C' ax Molybdenum Company, Climax Mine
Cc: B.
