Letter to Bryce Romie 2 June 17. 2003
The DMG and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board would like to take this opportunity to
again congratulate Climax on the remarkable success of the Eagle Park Reservoir project. As the
winner of the Year 2000 Mined Land Reclamation Awazd, the Eagle Park Reservoir began a new
century of reclamation in Colorado by demonstrating that novel thinking and unique approaches
combined with hazd work and determination to complete a task can result in long term benefits to
miners, to owners of mined land, to wildlife and the environment, and to the citizens and visitors to
the state. The project also clearly shows the value to be gained from the reclamation of mined land,
and that reclamation costs need not always be purely a debit but in many cases can be considered an
investment.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely, //
Allen C. Sorenson
Reclamation Specialist
cc: Cazl Mount, DMG (via email)
c:~acsV~[y Documents~climax sr-2 appvl.doc
