The U.S. Department ofEnergy Grand Junction Office
(DOE-GJO), in conjunction with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, San Juan Field Office,
examined the C-SR-13A Mine site and determined that Cotter Corporation's reclamation efforts
were completed in accordance with applicable environmental requirements and lease
stipulations, with the exception of the reestablishment of adequate vegetation. Pursuant to that
determination, DOE-GJO is requiring Cotter Corporation to continue its reclamation
performance bonding with DOE in the amount of $6,000 until such time as adequate vegetation
is reestablished at the site (expected to take at least two more growing seasons).
Accordingly, DOE-GJO has no objection to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
granting Cotter Corporation's request for release (all or portion) of the subject permit.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me at (970) 248-6004.
Sincerely,
r ~~~
Mic~Tucker
Project Manager
cc:
E.
