Grade remaining shoreline with slopes no steeper 8 horizontal to 1 vertical distance. These shallow <br />water areas allow for establishment of aquatic vegetation and invertebrates important for waterfowl and <br />other wildlife. Diverse vegetative types and wetland areas have long term benefits to wildlife, public <br />viewing and increased aesthetic value. <br />In areas surrounding the ponds or if no pond is planned, the Division of Wildlife recommends <br />landscaping with native species. Trees and shrubs are an important component and should be considered <br />when revegetating the area. For additional information on native plantings contact the Colorado Native <br />Plant Society. The Division of Wildlife also recommends a noxious weed management plan be adopted <br />for this project. <br />Thank you for this opportunity to comment on this proposal.
