Cattany
Division DlreCtOr
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received your Technical Revision Application 02 (TR-02) for
the Connell Resources, Inc.'s Timnath Pit, Permit No. M-1999-050. The Division has the fallowing items that
need to be addressed prior to approval of the revision.
1. The currently approved mine plan map depicts two dewatering ponds on the south end of the site.
However, these two ponds were not included in the revised exhibit. Please clarify with the Division if the
ponds remain a component of the mining plan, and revise the exhibit accordingly.
2. The revised map notes that the collection trench has been replaced with a French Drain. Please provide
the detailed designs of the French Drain installed around the perimeter of the site.
Please be advised that Timnath TR-02 application may be deemed inadequate, and the application may be
recommended for denial on June 27, 2007 unless the above mentioned adequacy review items are addressed to the
satisfaction of the Division. If you feel more time is needed to complete your reply, the Division can grant an
extension to the decision date. This will be done upon receipt of a written waiver of your right to a decision by
June 27, 2007 and request for additional time. This must be received no later than the deadline date.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 303-866-4943.
Sf erel
~,~~~ ~
Erica" "Cr"osby``- ~ ~~{J~
Envsronmental Protection Specialist
cc: Cazl Mount; DRMS
John Warren; Connell Resources
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver Grand lunRion Durango Active and Inactive Mines
