Long
Division Director
RE: San Luis Project, Permit No. M-88-112
Dear Ms. Hayes:
As you remember you and Anne Baldrige met with the Division on May 11, 1995.
Anne presented a list of issues that were unresolved up through the meeting
date. I would like to define the current status of each issue following the same
format as the list.
1. Outstanding Technical Revisions
A. TR-15
B. TR-17
C. TR-18
D. TR-22
The Division is still waiting for BMRI to respond to the adequacy
concerns of each T.R.
11. Outstanding Issues from 1992 NOV
A. Schedule
B. Reclamation
After a review of most of the permit file, and in discussing the
situation with other DMG employees; it was determined that an
abatement schedule for the 1992 NOV was never developed so,
therefore, any abatement time frame will be governed by each
individual technical revision and not by a master schedule.
I have not been able to review the reclamation evaluation
requirement of the 1992 NOV. I hope to have something to BMRI in
the near future.
