Long <br />Division Director <br />On Apri124, 2000 the Division of Minerals and Geology approved the Technical Revision application submitted <br />to the Division on Mazch 24, 2000, addressing the following: <br />Include in the Yankee Gulch Project an 11.5-acre temporary constmction lay down and parking area just <br />north of the Piceance Site facilities area. <br />The terms of the Technical Revision No. 2 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M- <br />1999-002. The conditions of the Division approval are noted below. Please note that all other provisions of <br />Permit No. M-1999-002 remain in full force and effect. <br />Stipulation No. Description <br />All mnoff from the temporary lay down and pazking azea will be routed to the lined <br />storm water retention pond or will be treated using appropriate best management <br />practices as described in the approved "Soil Conservation, Erosion and Sediment <br />Control, Reclamation, and Revegetation Plan" for the Yankee Gulch Project <br />Also, the bond amount for the Yankee Gulch Project and the amount of bond held by BLM and the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology must be adjusted as described in the Division's letter to American Soda dated April 18, <br />2000. Alternatively, American Soda may provide a bonding proposal for Division review and acceptance that <br />will limit the number of open production wells to less than the currently approved number of 75. Whatever <br />bonding option is selected by American Soda, the appropriate adjusted bond amounts and supporting <br />documentation must be provided to the Division and BLM by June 26, 2000. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Since~ly, <br />~, <br />Allen C.
