(BBL),
Holcim (US) Inc. respectfully requests that the Division of Minerals and Geology extend the
review and approval process for our current mine permit amendment application by an additional
60 days. With the current decision date of January 27, 2003, we propose that the new decision
date be March 28, 2003, with Holcim's response due to the Division of Minerals and Geology by
February 28,2003.
With the recent changes in organization of the quarry management and the change to our current
consulting firm, BBL ,this extension will give us the needed flexibility and time to respond to
your adequacy review for the above referenced amendment application.
Please contact me if you have any questions, as well as to confirm this new schedule.
Sincerely,
""- Michael B.
