RECEIVED <br />UPLAND GRAVEL PIT NO. 1 JAN 0 9 2006 <br />EXH I B IT K Division of Minerals and Geology <br />Climate <br />The site and affected area contained in this application range in elevation from 4750 to 4887 <br />feet at the highest point. <br />Morning winds are moderate and flow Southwesterly toward the Gunnison River. Late <br />afternoon winds can be very gusty and flow Northeasterly toward the Colorado River. <br />The low elevation keeps snow accumulation minimal and usually non-existent on the South <br />facing slopes. <br />Annual precipitation for the site is 10 to 12 inches. <br />Average Winter temperatures range from 16° low to 60° high. <br />Average Summer temperatures range from 65° low to 98° high. <br />
