Whitewater will contact local weed control experts such as Mesa County
and the local CSU Extension office for help when defining a plan for a newly identified
weed.
Whitewater will also use mechanical means to keep weed species down when such
methods are feasible and effective.
KNOWN WEEDS AND CURRENT CONTROL:
Russian Knapweed: Annual spraying with Curtail or Redeem during the bud to bloom
stage and in the late Fall before first freeze.
Hoary Cress-White Top: Annual spraying with a combination of 2, 4 D and glyphosate
(for example, Roundup) in the spring just before bloom.
Misc.
