I wanted to confirm in writing my understanding of the ~9ecisions
made in the meeting this morning regarding the San Luis; Project
of Battle Mountain Resources, Inc.
The following dates were agreed upon:
December 13th and 14th - MLRB December Hearing Dates 11:30 a.m.
Room 220 1313 Sherman, Denver, Co. 80202. The MLRD will
recommend to the Board that a hearing on the Amended Application
be held on January 24th or 25th. The issues for the herring are
to be framed by a) the issues in the letters of opposition
relevant to the amended application b) comments on the adequacy
letter from MLRD to BMG; comments on the response 1`rom BMG;
•comments'on the final recommendation of MLRD to the Boar9. Board
is to determine validity of objections received on December 8,
1989 and after that date.
December 18th - Adequacy letter to be mailed from MLRD to Battle
Mountain Resources.
Early January - Meeting to determine the relevant objections
from the Opposition Letters. Dean Masssey will convene. Hearing
officer will sign off on an order staing the hearing issues.
January 9th - Response to Adequacy Letter due from Battle
Mountain Resources. .Battle Mountain Resources will exp[ess mail
copies of their response to the valid objectors.
January 16th - Due from objectors - comments on adequacy letter
and Battle Mountain response.
Comments received by this date will be considered in the final
recommendation of MLRD to the Board.
