EXHIBIT G (Revised)
Water Information
The Glass Gravel Pit is located in the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 3,
Township 7 north, Range 69 West of the 6`h Principal Meridian, Larimer County, Colorado.
The site is located adjacent to the Arthur Ditch and approximately 1,300 feet from the south bank
of the Cache la Poudre River. The Arthur Ditch runs along the eastern boundary and North Taft
Hill Road borders the western boundary of the site. The current condition of the site, including a
7-acre groundwater lake, impacts the Cache la Poudre River in the form of depletions due to
evaporation. A Substitute Water Supply Plan for the replacement of stream depletions is
currently in place with the Colorado State Engineer's Office.
The reclamation will not significantly affect the groundwater table surrounding the mine site.
During backfilling and creation of the liner, the existing mined area will be dewatered. The
dewatering will likely lower the groundwater table adjacent to the mined area, with the affects of
the dewatering decreasing rapidly away from the mined area. The attached well location map
illustrates existing registered wells within one-half mile of the permit boundary. Existing
registered wells are generally greater than 1,000 feet from the mined area and impacts to these
wells are not anticipated. Once the backflll material is placed, the liner is constructed, and
dewatering ceases, the groundwater table adjacent to the mined area is expected to return to
pre-existing elevations. Although damages are not anticipated, it is the intent of Connell
Resources to operate responsibly and to mitigate damage to wells that is directly attributable to
the reclamation of this site.
Once reclamation is complete, groundwater will no longer be exposed and impacts to the Cache
la Poudre River and not anticipated. The proposed reclamation plan for the site calls for
backfilling most of the mined area and lining the rest of the mined area to create a dry
depression. The reclamation operation will not affect groundwater quality on or off the site. The
operation will comply with State groundwater quality standards. Due to the absence of sources
ofpotential pollutants, groundwater quality monitoring is not required in this operation.
The depth to groundwater ranges from 5 to 8 ft, based on current site conditions. Average depth
of the existing mined area is approximately I S below the adjacent land surface.
As delineated on FIRM panel 178 (National Flood Insurance Program, March 18, 1996), the
entire site lies within the Cache la Poudre River 100-year floodplain. All work performed in the
floodplain will conform to the Larimer County Flood Hazard Regulations.
Conne!! Resources Class Pi(Operotion
DMC 111 Yermi! Aroendmen(
Page 9
