dewatering will likely lower the groundwater table adjacent to the mined area, with the affects of <br />the dewatering decreasing rapidly away from the mined area. Revised Exhibit G, Water <br />Information, illustrates and describes existing registered wells within one-half mile of the permit <br />boundary. In general, existing wells are greater than 1,000 feet from the mined area and impacts <br />to these wells are not anticipated. Once the backfill material is placed, the liner is constructed, <br />and dewatering ceases, the groundwater table adjacent to the mined area is expected to return to <br />pre-existing elevations.
