EXHIBIT E (Revised)
Reclamation Plan
General agriculture will be the primary final reclaimed use for the Glass Gravel Pit site. The
proposed reclaimed use is compatible with surrounding land uses. Portions of mining area will
be backfilled and reclaimed as "native" areas, which will be re-seeded with native vegetation.
To reduce needed backfill quantities, and to create a more versatile agricultural land use, a small
section of the mining area will not be completely backfilled. This area will be lined to create a
dry depression in the land surface. Although not part of this proposed reclamation amendment,
the lined depression could potentially be used by future landowners as a stock pond. The lined
area will be sealed from the surrounding groundwater and will create a depression approximately
4 acres in size and approximately 10 feet deep. The backfilled acid lined portions of the mining
area will be graded to 3H:1 V slopes or flatter, covered with topsoil or other growth medium, and
re-vegetated. Remaining areas within the permit boundary will consist of an unimproved access
road and reclaimed or otherwise undisturbed land. The approximate acreage of each of these
areas is:
Final Land Use Area acres
Lined Section of Minin Area 4
Backfilled Portion of Minin Area 4
Access Road <0.1
Other Reclaimed or Undisturbed Land 7.4
TOTAL 15.4
Reclamation Measures/Materials Handling
Backfilling will be done to provide stabilized general agricultural land and to minimize erosion.
The backfill material will consist of inert material, overburden, and topsoil brought to the site
from other construction projects performed by Connell Resources. The backfill material will
comply with the specifications of Rule 3.1.5 (9) regarding the on-site disposal of inert fill. The
off-site backfill material will be clean and inert and suitable for backfilling. Transport of the
material to the Glass Gravel Pit site will be stopped if the material appears off-color, produces a
suspicious odor, or contains excessive amounts of debris. An affidavit certifying that the material
is clean and inert is attached.
The transport of material to the site and backfilling is expected to occur from 2004 through 2005.
Placement and grading will be performed to stabilize the material and control erosion. The
material will be placed and compacted in the same manner as described in the current
reclamation plan. Final grading and seeding will be done as soon as possible after backfilling
and topsoiling have been completed.
Cororell Resources Glar.c Pi!
