Dear Mr. Reckentine:
On November 18, 2005 the I?ivision of Minerals and Geology approved the Amendment application submitted ro the
Division on December 9, 2004, addressing the following:
Addition of 994 acres to the permit area for a total of 1231 permitted acres with addition of 448 affected acres
for a total of 668 affected acres.
The terms of the Amendment No. 1 approved by the Division will be incorporated into Permit No. M-2000-016 as soon
as sufficient bond is posted and approved by the Division. All other conditions and requirements of Permit No. M-2000-
016 remain in full force and effect.
+^ The:revison will be issued when initial bond in the amount of $1,213,000.00 ($470,000.00 additional bond) is posted.
This amount must be posted prior to any disturbance as described below and by no later than November 17, 2006. The
initial bond of $1,213,000.00 covers the cost of stripping overburden and building berms for the aggregate plant site area,
including the areas designated for the concrete and asphalt batch plants, and including the first mining cell for the plant
site area that encompasses mining activities at the intitial tailings pond and fresh water pond on the Rittenhouse property
(plant site). This initial reclamation bond will also include all existing areas of disturbance such as monitoring well
locations and the previously bonded disturbance for the Fort Lupton Pit ($743,000.00) approved on March 26, 2003.
