<br />NOTICE OF FILING APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL REVISION <br />TO AMERICAN SODA, LLP'S COLORADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION <br />PERMIT N0. M-99-002 ~' ~ ~'' <br />NOTICE TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE <br />LOCAL SOIL CONSERVATION DISTICT <br />(WHITE RIVER SOIL & CONSERVATION DISTRICT) <br />American Soda, LLP, 2717 County Road 215, Parachute, CO 81635, Tel. <br />No. (970) 285-6500. (the "Applicant/Operator') has applied for a <br />Technical Revision of its Reclamation Permit No. M-99-002 with the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Act in furtherance of its mining operations in Rio Blanco <br />County. The attached Application for Technical Revision is provided to notify <br />you of the nature of the proposed Technical Revision of the terms of the <br />above Reclamation Permit. The entire Application for Technical Revision is <br />on file with the Division of Minerals and Geology (the "Division") and the Rio <br />Blanco County Clerk and Recorder. The purpose of this Application for <br />Technical Revision is to incorporate into the above referenced Reclamation <br />Permit ambient groundwater data and permit conditions protective of <br />groundwater. The mine is known as the Yankee Gulch Sodium Minerals <br />Project and is located at or near Sections 15 - 22, 28 and 29, Township <br />1 South, Range 97 West of the 6"' P.M., Rio Blanco County, Colorado. <br />The Applicant/Operator has proposed to reclaim the effected land to <br />agricultural and wildlife habitat use. Pursuant to Section 34-32-116(7)(j), <br />C.R.S., the Board is required to confer with the local soil conservation <br />district before approving the suggested Technical Revision. Accordingly, <br />the Board would appreciate your comments on the proposed application for <br />Technical Revision.
