The
proposed mine is known as the Road Runners Rest II Pit and is located
in parts of Sections 3 and 4, Township 2 South, Range 67 West, 6th
Principal Meridian, Adams County, Colorado.
The mining commenced in 1991 and the amendment will not change
the proposed date of completion, which is December 2006. The
proposed future use of the land is as a water storage reservoir.
Additional information and the tentative decision date may be
obtained from the Mined Land Reclamation Division, 1313 Sherman St.,
Suite 215, Denver, CO 80203 (303) 866-3567, or at the Adams County
Clerk and Recorders Office, Adams County Courthouse, 450 S. 4th Ave.,
Brighton, Colorado 80601, or the above named applicant.
Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Division
of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p.m. on May 4, 2004.
Please note that comments related to noise, truck traffic, hours of operation, visual impacts, effects on
property values and other social or economic concerns are issues not subject to this Office's jurisdiction.
These subjects and similar ones, are typically addressed by your local governments, rather that the Division
of Minerals and Geology or the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
Suburban Sand and Gravel Co.
Arvada, Colorado
First Publication: March 24, 2004
Second Publication: March 31, 2004
Third Publication: April 7, 2004
Last Publication: April 14, 2004
Published in: Commerce City Beacon
