Agreement with
DMG decision date extension request, bond request information, and change in
correspondence address. K
Dear Mr. Mount,
Lafarge West Inc., agrees with the DMG's request to extend the final decisions date for the
Riverbend Permit M-2000-016 to October 27, 2005, and appreciates the time required to review
the new information provided by Lafazge pertaining to the groundwater mitigation plan.
Lafarge request that the initial bond for the Riverbend permit include stripping overburden and
building berms for the aggregate plant site area, including the areas designated for the concrete
and asphalt batch plants, and including the 151 mining cell for the plant site area that encompasses
mining activities at the initial tailings pond and fresh water pond on the Rittenhouse property
(plant site). The reclamation bond should also include all existing azeas of disturbance that
should only include existing monitoring well locations, and the previous bond amount for the Ft
Lupton pit. Lafarge proposes that the DMG re-evaluate the bond 6-months following initial
disturbance at the plant site area to include mine phase II and III.
Please forward all information pertaining to the Riverbend Permit to my new address
1800 North Taft Hill Road
Ft Collins Colorado 80521
Fax - 970-407-3900
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 303-885 - 5594
Sincer
Eric Reckentine
Area Manager Northern Colorado Aggregates and Portable Crushing Division.
LAFARGE WEST INC. -Lafarge Construction Materials
1800 N.
