Responsible for coordination of <br />environmental studies, environmental document preparation and <br />permit applications for mining projects. Duties include <br />writing, editing and organizing of reports and coordinating and <br />negotiating with regulatory agencies. <br />1964 - 1988 Reclamation Specialist, Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Reclamation Division, Denver, Colorado. Responsible for <br />ensuring that mining operations in the State were designed, <br />constructed, maintained and reclaimed to protect the <br />environment in accordance with state laws and prudent mining <br />practices. Work was performed in all types of mining activities <br />with specialization in cyanide heap leach mine design, <br />construction and reclamation. Work emphasized effects of mining <br />on surface and groundwater systems. <br />1983 - 1984 Consultant, Denver, Colorado. Contracted to characterize <br />surface and groundwater in the vicinity of mining activities <br />and to determine the effects of mining on surface and <br />groundwater. Work included the preparation of water related <br />sections for permit submittal. <br />1981 - 1983 Geologist/Hydrologist. Sheridan Enterprises, Denver, Colorado. <br />Responsible for determining coal reserves and overburden depth <br />for mining properties, assisting in state permit development <br />for mine properties and evaluating ground and surface water <br />impacts of mining. Duties also included development and <br />supervision of drilling programs for exploration and <br />groundwater monitoring. <br />1979 - 1981 Geologist/Hydrologist, Orbital Engineering, Denver, Colorado <br />and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a staff geologist duties <br />included supervising drilling programs for geotechnical <br />engineering studies and groundwater monitoring. As a staff <br />hydrologist duties included design of coarse end fine coal <br />refuse disposal areas, surface and groundwater characterization <br />and design of surface water diversion/conveyance systems. <br />APPENDIX A CONTINUED <br />
