Following are a few items that still need to be addressed in order to meet the minimum
requirements of the Act/Rules and Regulations:
1) Exhibit C - as we discussed this morning, the maps need to comply with requirements of
Rule 6.2. Specifically, you need to provide the name of the Applicapt and provide a map
scale. In addition, the maps need to be signed by the person who prepazed them and the
date they were prepazed. The maps you submitted comply with these requirements.
However, the scale of the map cannot be any smaller than 1 inch = 660 feet. The maps
you submitted aze 1 inch = 880 feet. The pre-mining and mining plan map must show the
location of all man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected land area. The maps
you submitted contain the required information. You must provide the names of the
structure owners and the type of structure. You adequately provided this information.
Also, the map must show the existing topography in the proposed expanded area. What
you show on the response maps is accurate enough.
2) Exhibit F -the reclamation plan map needs to comply with Rule 6.2 requirements (as
noted above in pazagraph 1).
The contour lines on the reclamation map you submitted do not show the anticipated
topography of the entire mined azea. They show the existing topography. Please show the
expected topography of the whole azea.
3) Exhibit S -the Applicant needs to address the requirements of this exhibit regazding the
utility lines on the south side of County Road P, the RRright-of--way on the east side of
the proposed expanded permit area and the power line on the east side of the proposed
expanded area, if these structures are within 200 feet of the proposed affected lands. The
letter you submitted to mitigate the power lines needs to be notarized pursuant to
requirements of Rule 6.4.19 (c). If the other utilities send you a letter make sure the
signatures are notarized.
Office of Office of ~ Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
