RECEIVED
Exhibit D APR 13 2005
Reclamation Plan Division of Minerals and Geology
(a) As the mining operation proceeds, overburden will be replaced in the area previously
mined and no longer in operation, i.e., reclamation will occur concurrently with the
mining process. Some areas will be impossible to reclaim because no overburden exists.
The planned use of those areas are for home sites.
(b) The maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes will not exceed 2:1. Rock quarry walls may
be left steeper, but in a stable condition.
(c) The measures that will be taken to revegetate the area will include planting grass and
trees wherever possible. Natural vegetation in the area is sparse due to the rocky soil
conditions. Seeding of grasses will take place as reclamation progresses, and will consist
of native bunch grass seed at 241bs. per acre. Trees will be planted after the entire
operation ceases. Note: the soils are difficult to reseed and in some places, impossible
due to the slope, rock outcrops, amount of cobblestones, stones, and gravel. The species
to be planted aze skunkbrush (10 per acre), mountain mahogany (10 per acre), ponderosa
pine (10 per acre), and Rocky Mountain juniper (10 per acre).
Grass seed will be applied by hand or with a spreader. No mulch will be needed. Trees
and shrubs will be established by planting seedlings.
(d) The public access roadway will remain after reclamation.
(e) All waste mck will be used in the reclamation process. No underground mine openings,
ditches, sediment control facilities, or buildings are in existence.
(f) Reclamation Costs:
Grass seed 241bs/acre at $2.00/Ib. $ 144.00
30 potted ponderosa pine $ 40.00
30 potted Rocky Mountain juniper $ 40.00
Fertilizer $40/acre $ 120.00
Grading and catapillaz work
3 hrs./acre at $85/hour $ 255.00
Total $ 599.00
