Rather than a financial warranty reduction request, both this office and the
consultant feel that an acreage reduction is more applicable. The forth coming amendment to the site
will add in additional acreage that will more than compensate for the area to be released. An increase
maybe required with the amendment. If this occurs then paperwork would have been submitted for the
release and new lower bond amount only to be superceded by the increase of the amendment. An
acreage reduction would allow a review of the whole bonding process at once instead of duplicate
efforts.
The requested release of the 8.1 acres is not a problem. An inspection of the site was done in January of
this year and a second inspection is not required as the azea in question was noted as ready for release.
This Office needs to know how Parkerson Construction wishes to proceed.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no.
970.241.1117.
Sincerely,~~~~ ~ ~
G.
