(Lafarge) and our
consultants Banks and Gesso, LLC (B&G) have prepared the following responses to your
questions. Our responses are presented in the same order as your questions. In some
cases, the answers and/or responses to your questions can be found on the accompanying
attachments and or exhibits.
6.4.1 Exhibit A -Legal description and Location Map
1) The legal description of the 2.5 acres to be removed has been added to Exhibit A.
Exhibit B has also been updated to reflect the removal of the 2.5 acres.
In addition, Exhibit C -Pre-Mining and Mine Plan Map has been updated to show the
2.5 acres that have been eliminated from this exhibit and are shown as a separate
feature.
6.4.4 Exhibit D -Mining Map
2) According to a preliminary survey performed for road improvements along Old
Brighton Road, there is aloes-pressure distribution gas line (owned by Excel Energy)
located approximately 32 feet west of the centerline of Brighton Road. Overhead
utilities are located approximately 27 feet west of the centerline of Brighton Road. The
toe of the initial cut will be located approximately 20 feet (horizontal) west of the gas
line, and 25 horizontal feel west of the overhead utility. The depth of the initial cut
will be roughly 6 feet.
3) Since we currently do not have the detailed information necessary to complete the
detailed design of the slurry wall system, we will be bonding the property under the
100 percent option. In answer to your question and based on our current information
and understanding of the site, Lafarge is anticipating the following conditions at the
site with regazd to the slurry wall:
WESTERN MOBILE INC., a subsidiary of Lafarge Corporation
TECNNICAL SERVICES
1590 W. 12th Ave., Denver, Colorado 80204-3410
Office: (303) 657-4000 Fax: (303) 657-4339
