Because of its flat ryrng terra+n its paved areas, <br /> warehouses and existing storm water control system, the rema+nmg 96 acres in ISP Areas 2A <br /> and 2B have become a highly desirable +ntlustnal staging area for current oil and gas exptorabon <br /> activities The area was approved for industrial use by zoning ordinance m the Town of <br /> Parachute. This 61mg seeks to clarify that the posbmmmg land use of this property will be the <br /> industrial use similar t0 its present land use, and have R removed from the affected acreage <br /> inventory and from the MLRB permitted area <br /> In addition t0 the above described Areas 2A antl 26 within the Parachute Terminal area <br /> proper. plans were devebped in 1981 and the permd amended to include another laydown area <br /> to the east of the terminal site. This other laydown area became known as Mahaffey Laydowri <br /> Area, and +t is shown as Parachute Terminal Site Area 2D on Exhibit F-t The unusual -U- <br /> shaped "disturbance that appears as Area 2D on that exhibit is simply the outline of a series of <br /> earthen berms that were planned for construction as the first step m developing this area, These <br /> berms were to channel runoff into a sediment pond that was to be built on the s+te at the <br /> hydraulically Lowest point The construction of this laydown area was halted +n May 1982, and by <br /> that time the actual construction disturbance on these 30 acres was Iimded to stnpp+ng the <br /> vegetation and topsoil m the narrow perimeter area to be occupied by the above described <br /> berms Because of the limited nature of the disturbance, this area was recfa~med in 1982 to <br /> permanent standards per the approved reclamation plan by replaung the recently stripped topsoil <br /> and then seeding with the permanent seed mix for the Parachute areas.
