COOLEY RESERVOIR AND FULTON WILDLIFE AREA PIT RECEIVED
AMENDMENT NO. 1 - JERONIMUS PROPERTY
(Revised 06/03)
JUN 16 2003
EXHIBIT G WATER INFORMATION Division of Minerals and Geology
The accompanying information was prepared by the Applegate Group, Inc., who also prepared the
Water Information for the existing permit area. Since the original report, the following has been
added to this EXiIIBIT:
Pages 8 - 14 Information on shallow wells within 600' of the Amendment No. 1 area. In addition
to the map that is included as page 9 of this EXI-IIBIT. The location of these wells has
also been added to EXHBIT C-1 SHEET 1 of 2, The shallow wells listed under the
name "Brancucci" in the State Engineer's Office (SEO) records are also know as the
"Topper" wells. All three of these wells are located in fairly close proximity to the
west boundary of the Topper property, rather than located as shown on EXFIIBIT C-
1SHEET 1 oft from the SEO records.
Per a stipulation made on EXI~IT D and in EXIIIBIT C-2 SHEET 2 of 2 -
MINING PLAN MAP - No dewatering shall be undertaken without an Agreement
with shallow well owners within 600', or the State Engineer's Office (SEO) approves
partial dewatering, and the written agreements or approval from the SEO for
dewatering to a maximum depth of 15' is reviewed and approved by the DMG.
Pages 15 - 16 Information on the substitute supply Plan for evaporative losses.
AI believes that the substitute supply plan is already in existence. However, until this
is confirmed by the State Engineer's Office, AI has agreed to a stipulation as outlined
on EXHIBIT D AND EXHIBIT C-2 SHEET 2 of 2 MINING PLAN MAP - "No
mining shall occur within Z' ofthe groundwater table in any area not already exposed
to the surface until the State Engineer's Office (SEO) approves a substitute water
supply plan or another plan that allows such exposure of groundwater."
Finally, per page 1 O of EXHIBIT D, Aggregate Industries has an existing discharge permit that
covers both storm water discharge as well as discharge from the wash plant. This permit will be
amendment to include the Amendment No. 1 area, or a new permit will be obtained, if required.
Therefore, the following affirmative statement is made in this regard:
Aggregate Industries - WCR, Inc. has acquired a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination
System (NPDES) Permit from the Water Quality Control Division at the Colorado
Department of Health, and will obtain either an amendment to this existing permit or obtain
a new permit, prior to any discharge of either storm water or the plant's wash water from the
operations in the Amendment No. 1 area.
