EXHIBIT J--VEGETATION INFORMATION <br /> Vegetation at the Oak Creek Pit primarily consists of grasses. Approximately <br /> 90% of the affected land boundary is grassland. This plant community consists mainly <br /> of: needleandthread, blue grama, western wheatgrass, sleepygrass, broom snakeweed, <br /> Arizona fescue, mountain muhly and fringed sagebrush. Various cacti and yucca can <br /> also tie found in small amounts throughout the site. Average annual production of air-dry <br /> vegetation is about 800 pounds per acre. Ground cover in the grassland ranges from <br /> 25% to 40%. The remaining 10 % of the affected land boundary consists of pinion, <br /> juniper and ponderosa pine with a Gamble oak and mountain mahogany understory. <br /> Pinion and Juniper are found on the site to be as tall as 15 feet at 2 trees per acre. <br /> Ponderosa pine to 40 feet can also be found at 1 tree per acre. Mountain mahogany and <br /> Gamble oak are sparse and range in height from 3 feet to 8 feet. <br /> 12 <br />
