EXIIIBIT L-RE('t.AMATION COSTS <br />Costs associated with backfilling the North Pond slopes are included in the existing permit. Grading of <br />the pit floor of the unlined North Lake area has occurred in a manner that will allow wash fines, pumped <br />from the aggegate processing operation, to settle in and fill various cells of the excavation. The cost of <br />placement of wash fines in the North Lake area to facilitate wetlands development is included in mine <br />operations. The only additional cost associated with the change proposed for reclamation of the North <br />Pond area is for seeding of approximately 15 acres of wetlands. <br />Construction of spillway and riverbank protection will occur prior to mining within the setbacks for <br />which these protection measures are required, therefore reclamation costs associated with construction of <br />such protection measures will be incurred prior disturbance, and no additional bonding would be required. <br />All other reclamation costs for this permit have been previously discussed and bonded for through prior <br />permit amendments and technical revisions. The only additional cost associated with this amendment <br />proposal if for seeding of 15 acres of wetlands to be established in the North Pond area. This additional <br />reclamation cost is estimated to be $9,000, based upon 15 acres at $600 per acre. <br />
