Willow, sumac and buffaloberry will be <br />planted in clumps of 10 to 15 trees with the trees spaced about 18-20 feet apart. The clumps will <br />be about 100 to 200 feet apart. Cottonwood tubelings will also be spazsely planted here and there <br />bu no closer than 100 feet from a clump of other cottonwood. <br />This azea of Delta County is known to have some weeds of concern such as the thistle group and <br />knapweed. The operator will take extreme Gaze in preventing weeds from establishing <br />infestations in the permit azea by doing the following: <br />1) Each mid-April, a noxious weed survey will be made of the permit azea. <br />2) If any noxious weed patches or plants have been identified, they will be sprayed by backpack <br />sprayer or 4-wheeler using chemicals approved for use by the Weed Management Commission of <br />Delta County. This will be done within 2 weeks after the inspection when the weeds are most <br />vulnerable. Care will be taken to spot spray where possible to avoid killing desirable broadleaf <br />plants. <br />3) After reclamation of portions of the site and after final reclamation, weed surveys and spraying <br />Pit No. 1 1/04 4 <br />
