Long <br />Division Dvecbr <br />As a result of review by the Office of Mined Land Reclamation of your permit application, <br />pertinent geology and geochemistry, and recent inspection reports, you are hereby notified, <br />pursuant to Rule 7.2 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board, that your San Luis Project, Permit No. M-88-112, has been determined by <br />the Office to be a Designated Mining Operation for the following masons: <br />Designated chemicals are present on site. Sodium cyanide is used in the extraction of <br />precious metals. <br />2. Toxic- or acid-forming materials are or will be exposed or disturi3ed as a n;sult of mining <br />operations. High sulphide ore is being extracted from the west pit, transported to the mill <br />facility, then disposed of in the tailings pond. <br />Acid mine drainage has the potential to occur due to mining or reclamation activities. <br />Exposed sulphide material could produce acid drainage. <br />If you agree with this designation, you are required to notify the Office by mail of your <br />concurrence within 30 days of the date of this notice and to proceed to comply with the <br />requirements of subsection 7.2.3 of the Mineral Rules.
