Copies of these materials mzy be obtained upon request. <br />• CROW Wildlife Resource Information System (WRIS) <br />• Northern Eagle/Southern Routt Greater Sage-Grouse Conservation Plan <br />• CDO WRadio-Collared Greater Sage-Grouse Study: 2003 -Present <br />We would like to note that the Regular (112) Operation Reclamation Permit Application Form on the CD you <br />provided for our review appeared to be missing a portion of the application for King Mountain Sand and <br />Gravel Mine prepared by Banks and Gesso. Subsequently, we were only able to review the Introduction and <br />Exhibit A. Exhibit B through Exhibit S were not included on the copy of the CD we received, nor were <br />Attachment. A-C. If you would like the CDO`,N [o provide you with additional comments regarding those <br />documents, please forward them at yow~ earnest convenience for our review. <br />CDOW S[;.~?N1ARY OF YROPOSED PROJECT: <br />The existing gravel pit previously operated by crank Hev es, now called King Mountain Sand cg Gravel D4ine <br />is located in agricultural rangelaed aup:'oximately .i miles west of'1 ononas, CO. The property is located on the <br />southwest portion of an area locally retcr,ed to as Five Pines Mesa. The current pit is permitted for 10 acres, <br />and has been part of an active mining operation. The petitioner is requesting that the permit acreage be <br />expanded from this initial 10 acres to 341 acres. It is oar understanding that the petitioner only intends to mine <br />184 of the 341 aores with no more than 67 acres being disturbed at any given time. 'I7re proposed mining <br />operation will be to mine constnle?ion aggregates, and the oetitioner is proposing [o complete mining in four <br />separate phases over a 20-year period.
