The materials <br />submitted to-date hale nearly satisfied the T 12c permit applicafioti requirements; but there are " <br />still a.few items,to~r8spond~to.~.Please provide the information that I am requesting on the items <br />listed below: , <br />As you are aware,;tllis office has received commenton this conversion application'from Conejos <br />County Land •Use- The letter from that office states_ that you Have a conditional use permit for an <br />expansion of the pit, but only up to a-limit of 19.69 acres. The letter additionally states that if you <br />seek to expand your permitted operation.up to 65.188 acres, they. will object. (A copy of the <br />letter is attached with this tettet, for your information,") Have you resolved this situation with <br />Conejos County Land Use? If not, the Division may have to condition'the approval of the <br />conversion application such that~the county requirement is met before expanding your disturbance <br />beyond ] 9.69 acres. `Please comment.' <br />Given the complicating factors that that we.have not received information from you or the county <br />demonstrating that this is resolved, and that it could affecYthe conditions attached to our <br />-- approval,-the decision date for the application h`as been extended'to.allow you to'piovide any-- <br />nece"ssary information. The decision date is reset to October 17, 2007. <br />For the mining plan, please state what the.depth of the pit will be. <br />Please state what depth of topsoil will be stripped prior to excavation. A range of depths, rather <br />than a specific depth figure is acceptable. <br />Where wiU the topsoil be stored before it is to be replaced? <br />The file materials give a variety of final slope gradients, from 2:1 to 10:1. Please state what the <br />maximum slope gradient will be. <br />The map does not clearly show how close the edge of the pit wilt be to the permit boundary. <br />How close will the pit be to the boundary (assumed to be the fenceline)?
