Listed below are preliminary adequacy review comments on the proposed Thompson resource (aka Horn Gravel Pit)
Amendment AM-02 Application, Permit No. M-1983-102. Final adequacy review comments, if any, will be forthcoming
after the end of the public comment period, which will be on December 27, 2006. Additional adequacy review comments
may also arise based on the applicants response to this preliminary adequacy review.
Because publication of public notice has been delayed, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has
established January 10, 2007 as the date which a recommendation for approval or denial of the application is due.
Therefore, your response to the following adequacy review concerns should be submitted to the Division as soon as
possible.
Rule 1.6.2(1)(g,Z General Annlicant Procedures
1. In accordance with this rule, please submit Proof of Publication circulated in the local newspaper and Proof of Nofice
submitted to all owners of record of affected lands, easement holders, and owners of record of surface lands that are
within 200 feet of the boundary of affected land. Proof of Publication may consist of either a copy of the last
newspaper publication, to include the dates published, or a notarized statement from the paper. Proof of Notice may
be by submitting return receipts of a Certified Mailing or by proof of personal service.
Rule 6.4.3 Exhibit C -Pre-Minine and Mining Plan Maza~(s) of Affected Lands
2. In accordance with Rule 6.4.3(b), please identify the road that borders the northwest comer of the affected land on
both of these maps.
3. In accordance with Rule 6.4.3(d), please identify the permit boundaries as well as the boundaries of the affected land
on both of these maps.
4. In accordance with Rule 6.4.3(g), please show the owners name, type of structure, and location of all significant,
valuable, and pertnatlent man-made structures contained on the area of affected land and within 200 feet of the
affected land on both of these maps. The maps submitted with this application show most of the structures but the
structures that are shown are not identified, in addition, apre-operation inspection of the site conducted on November
