(CMBLRB M1980193) This property <br />has been used by the county of EI Paso, as well, for sand/gravel mining. My <br />concern is the scope of work that is being proposed for the future. My fear <br />is for the water table. My well (and my neighbors) may be adversely <br />affected by the proposed wash station which would entail n commercial well. <br />The drain from the water table could.deplete the flow to our; wells. The soil <br />mix in this area already allows for a slow seep. With the nearby sod forms <br />and the population growth in the area, we may need to dig deeper wells to <br />survive. At who's expense???? My well is already 700 feet deep. <br />My second concern is in the dust and noise. Sonpweed road has undergone <br />some improvements by the county since they started mining sand but the <br />trucks still produce pot holes and extreme dust. How can we be assured that <br />Rocky Mountain Materials will do their part to minimize road damage and <br />dust? One solution is to pave the road. I'm sure there is no budget for that. <br />I moved to the country to avoid noise and industry. I am disappointed in the <br />new mining proposal. I fear a drop in my property value. The trucks are <br />active ns early as 7:00 am with truck after truck of traffic on the road. We <br />have children and dogs to worry about. The trucks don't obey the speed <br />limit. <br />- r <br />I have givenpn honest voice and share this view,with,mnny_of my,,-,neighbors. <br />Please let me know what I can do to help this situation.
