All landscaping and revegetation should use only native species. I strongly encourage revegetation with natve
grasses including tall wheat Grass, intermediate wheat grass, switch grass. Some trees and shrubs that should be
considered in the revegetation effort aze native plum, cottonwood and willow.
There is a very good possibility of nesting birds, particularly raptors, in this development area. Because these
birds and their nests are protected at the state and federal levels, I recommend a nestins bird survey prior to any
development. The best time of year for this to be done is during nesting season in early May.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions regarding these comments or with any furore
concerns. I am available to assist with this development prods to help mitigate the impact that this development
will have on the wildlife in the area- I will also be available to help during the reclamation process to improve the
wildlife value of the site.
Should you feel that some significant habitat feature is present on the site, or have further questions or concerns,
please call me at (303) 291-7132.
Sincerely,
r~
Stephanie Durno
District Wildlife Manager
Colorado Division of Wildlife
Cc: NERSC file copy
DWM file copy
