('OOLEY AND FULTON LAKES PIT
A'VIENDMENT NO. 1 - JERONIlVIUS PROPERTY
(Revised 05/03)
EXHIBIT H -WILDLIFE INFORMATION
Note: The letter from DOW is copied as the submittal for this exhibit.
Since the original Amendment No. 1 application was submitted, an additional letter from DOW with
more complete information on existing wildlife resources on the Amendment No. 1 area. In terms
of the some of the comments in the second letter:
1. The Amendment No. 1 area is farther than 150' from the low water channel of the S. Platte
River, and therefore there will be no disturbance in this identified critical area.
2. Except for the two crossings that are already disturbed, there will be no mining within 65' of
the east bank of the Fulton Ditch.
3. Shorelines may end up irregular, but AI is not committing to any specific shoreline
configuration. No islands are proposed, as island would be almost impossible to build given
the nature of silt fill material.
4. The natural of filling with silt from the wash water plant will probably result is extremely
shallow slopes between the created wetlands area and the new lake shoreline, but AI is not
committing to any sloping below water line of the lake areas of less than 3H:1 V.
5. Native species predominate in al] of the proposed revegeation activities.
In summary, mining plan does not adversely impact any critical wildlife resources, and the reclamation
plan will enhance and improve the wildlife resources on the property.
