COOLEY RESERVOII2 AND FULTON WILDLIFE AREA PIT <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 - JERONIMUS PROPERTY <br />(Revised 05/03) <br />EXHIBIT E -RECLAMATION PLAN <br />This area of Amendment No. 1 is expected to be the final phase of the operation. The reclamation <br />plan in this area will preserve existing open space/wildlife preserve areas in their natural state and <br />create new open space/wildlife preserve areas. Areas that are not mined or disturbed will be left "as <br />is". These aeeas will not be regraded or revegetated, but instead be preserved in their existing state. <br />The expected acreage of the final land uses. on the property are as follows: <br />Preserved Wetlands Area - 10+_ acres (No Disturbance) <br />Created Wetlands Area - 15+_ acres (Broadcast Seeding) <br />Preserved Dryland Area - 10+_ acres (No Disturbance) <br />Created Dryland Area - 10+ acres (Sloping, Topsoil Placement, & Seeding) <br />Remaining Lake Area - 5± acres <br />Reclamation for Dryland Area - <br />Within I year after all mining is completed, all disturbed areas proposed for creation of <br />dryland shall backfilled with stored overburden, graded to a maximum steepness of 3H : 1 V, <br />covered with 6"-12" + oftopsoil, and revegetated with non-irrigated grasses per the Cooley <br />Reservoir Mix B from NRCS 01/28/03 letter as copied as page 4 of this EXHIBIT. Prior to <br />seeding, any hard packed areas shall be scarified prior to the placement of topsoil and seeding. <br />Wetlands Creation <br />For wetlands creation, partial reclamation will begin with the backfilling of sediments to 6" <br />above the high water lake elevation created during the processing of the mined sand and <br />gravel Based on AI's sirrtilaz project on other wetland's creation project, interim planting of <br />wetlands vegetation shall be undertaken by broadcast seeding of the seed mix as listed on the <br />next page at an application rate of 20 lbs./acre during the growing season (May through <br />August). This broadcast seeding shall occur whenever a minimum of 5 acres has been filled <br />with silt from the plant's wash water within 6" of the existing high water elevation that occurs <br />in the mid-June to mid-July time period. Created wetlands in excess of what is required to <br />be created per an approved Corp of Engineer's 404 Permit on this property maybe utilized <br />as replacement wetlands on others sites in accordance with approved Corp of Engineer's 404 <br />permits on other sites. <br />
