The analysis was conducted using typical and normal
physical properties for sand and gravel pil slopes - no site specific samples and
laboratory analyses were available. Our analysis was based on material
represented as a sand and gravel mix that will be "cut and backfilled during road
Construction and ditch relocation" to achieve the desired 3N:1 V slope.
Based on the information provided by Lafarge, conservative material parameters
were assumed for the constructed slopes, as listed in the fallowing table:
Re resentative Material Anat sis Parameters
Soil Material Sand and ravel mix
Moist Soil Densit 139 Ib er cubic foot
Internal Friction An le 30 de tees
Cohesion 0 Ib per square foot ~
5231 Somh Quebec Strca • Gicenwotd Villx;c.
