Third St, Room 301 <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81501 <br />r/ <br />RE: Permit No. M-1978-116, SM-18 Mine, DMO Lysimeter Sampling j/1 ~°S <br />Mr. Means: <br />At the field meeting with DMG to discuss future sampling at the SM-18 mine, Cotter <br />proposed a soil water sampler (lysimeter) be installed. The proposed location of the <br />lysimeter is at the northeast toe of the permitted waste dump area. The approximate <br />location was discussed with DMG during the field meeting, and is shown on the attached <br />map. Access to the proposed lysimeter location will be around the north side of the <br />existing diversion ditch around the waste dump area, on ground that is currently within <br />the mine permit boundary.
