Notice to Parties and Interested Persons to the Consideration of the Thompson Resource Amendment Application
RE: Pre-hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing for Thompson Properties, Thompson Resource
(aka Horn Gravel Pit), Permit No. M-1983-102
Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has received objections to the consideration
for the Thompson Resource (aka Horn Gravel Pit) 112c Amendment AM-02 Application, Permit No. M-1983-
102, submitted by Thompson Properties. Comments and objections have been forwarded to Thompson Properties
for their consideration.
A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on December 20. 2006, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the
Grand County Road and Bridge Central Maintenance Facility, 467 East Topaz Avenue, Granby, Colorado. Ms.
Sandra Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to
describe the Office's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve
issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the
Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the
Formal Board Hearing.
Please be reminded that all witness and exhibit lists are required to be submitted at the time of the Pre-
Hearina Meetine of December 20, 2006.
Staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board.
The hearing for consideration of the Thompson Resource (aka Horn Grave] Pit) 112c Amendment AM-02
Application will occur during the January 10-11, 2007 Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318,
Denver, Colorado, commencing at 9:00 a.m. on January l0a' or 9:00 a.m. on January 11'" or as soon thereafter as
the matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard.
