CAMEO GRAVEL
EXHIBIT G
Water Information
Decreed water rights of spring run-off water is used to irrigate land contained in Parcels 1,2
and 3 which lie in the SW1/4 SW1/4 of Section 35 and S 1/4 of Section 34, Township 10
South, Range 98 West, 6th Principal Meridian.
Water is directed through a pipeline owned by Ute Water Conservancy District to a point on
the Martin/Crawford Ditch approximately 1000 feet East of the Ute water Filter Plant. Water is
then released into the Martin Crawford Ditch, which flows Northwesterly to the Southwest
corner of Section 35.
Water is then flood irrigated on the fields in the South 1/4 of Section 34 while available each
Spring. Stock ponds are filled with irrigation water to extend grazing coverage for cattle and
wildlife further away from the natural source at Rapid Creek. The Mining Plan preserves the
route of the existing Martin/Crawford Ditch through the Middle Mine Area so no adverse effect
on existing water rights structures shall occur (See existing ditches shown on Exhibit F).
Irrigation water wiA be used to irrigate the existing pasture until mining begins which will in
effect pre-wet the material to be mined, screened and crushed. Seasonal water use (run-off
amount) is logged and reported to the Division of Water Resources for the Martin/Crawford
Ditch use but has no direct correlation to the Mining operation.
Water amounts needed for dust suppression of the roads, screens, crusher and stockpiles
shall be supplied by water trucks and/or the Ute raw water pipeline. It is estimated that
225,000 gallons of water shall be needed to process 70,000 Ton annually.
No ground water is present which needs de-watered and the extraction process produces pits
that will retain any storm water generated on the affected area.
A storm water management plan is being prepared which calls for erosion control dikes to
retain run-off from haul roads being used in the operation. Water retained by dikes during
storm events is expected to dissipate in less than 24 hours. No storm runoff from Cameo
Gravel operation should reach State waters. It is our understanding that no permit is required
if there is no discharge into State waters.
