EXHIBIT L RECLAMATION COSTS
The current bond was calculated in 2005 and set at $230,300.00.
This covers the backfilling, resoiling and revegetation on the
mine because it is a floating bond. The only change to the bond
would be to provide adequate surety for the section of slurry
wall in the EAS. We will use the Divisions methodology to
determine the increased amount. Since the slurry wall is in
place and a QAQC is submitted as part of this permit packet the
we are eligible for the 20~ bonding option outlined in the "Liner
Guidelines" The following data comes from the Construction
Observations Report appendix Trench Profile Worksheet starting at
station 50+50 thru station 70+20. Our section of the wall starts
at 50+43 and ends at 70+21 (1978 feet long) and the depth varies
from 20 to 66 feet and the mean depth is 41 feet. An additional
5~ is added for administrative fee to the total.
Current bond for reclamation on the permit area, the reservoir area and
the north end of the EAS is $230,300.00
Reclamation associated with the slurry wall construction.
Construction cost- 1978 Ift * 41 Ft * $3.00 . $243,294.00
20% of total cost
Administrative costs
Net slurry wall bond amount
RECOMMEND BOND BE SET AT 5281,400.00
$ 48,658.80
$ 2,432.94
$ 51,091.74
9
