Exhibit E RECLAMATION PLAN
The following amendments to the reclamation plan only apply
to the ExPnNSioNAREI-SouTN(EAS). Review of the 2005 maps will show
how the existing permit area will be reclaimed. The text below
describes how the new area will differ from the existing areas
and the map shows how the EXPANSION AREA SOUTHW111 be reclaimed. The
approved reclamation plans, including recoiling, revegetation
methods and species, will remain unchanged on the rest of the
existing permit areas.
Currently the post mining land use for this area is unspeci-
fied. That is being changed to developed water storage on 7.47??
Acres on the south end of the EAS and as rangeland on the north
part. After mining is complete the northern part of EXPANSION AREA
SourN will be backfilled to its existing elevation, level with the
river bank, recoiled and revegetated using the same plans as
described in the 2005 reclamation plan. In most cases
backfilling will closely follow mining to better utilize material
movement within the mine. The material used for backfilling the
north end of the EAS will come from material stored in the
original permit area north of the EAN.
Around the reservoir area we will follow the plan as ap-
proved in the LaFarge permit. This calls for creating the bank
slopes at a 3:1 rate, recoiling the above water areas with 10 to
12 inches of topsoil salvaged from the site and seeding it with
the approved seed mixture.
The soils and vegetation on this areas were described in
Exhibit J(revisea zoos, of the last amendment. Very little topsoil
exists on the mining area, but as described in that report we
will salvage what topsoil is available from the mined area to use
for reclamation. Once backfilling and recoiling is completed on
the north area it will be revegetated using the plan described on
page E-5 of the 2005 application.
5
