Dept of Natural Resources
RE: Trinidad Basin Mining
I am writing this letter concerning your letter of June
5, 1984 on Stipulations 7 & 8 of the Trinidad Basin Mining
permit. We have previously requested a review of the submittals
made on Stipulations 7 & 8 by the Department and we have received
only verbal comments obtained in meetings. We have tried to
interpret these comments as best as we could however, we have
received no formal response to these submittals.
We therefore, do not feel that the NOV was justified in
this particular case and formally ask that it be waived.
We would also like written comments concerning the information
submitted on Stipulations 7 & 8 prior to submitting the plans
for vegetation sampling, so that we can better formulate this
plan.
As Mr. Mark Gass is on vacation and will not be back in his
office until June 25, 1985 we would like to extend this date
for remedial action 1, 2 and 3 by thirty (30) days.
If there are any questions, please advise.
BTQ/dn
xc: Vance Mills
Bruce Baker
