Yes, Bear <br />likely used the Edwards Mine maps to design where to slope down from the C-Seam into the <br />B-Seam, specifically to avoid breaking into the abandoned Edwazds Mine workings. <br />' What was the southern extent of [he Bear C-Seam mining? Did they mine the C-Seam <br />beneath Lone Pine? The green outline of the C-Seam mining was pointed out on Exhibit 1. <br />Bear did not mine the C-Seam beneath Lone Pine Gulch. The development of Third West in <br />' the C-seam was completed a short distance and was stopped for reasons unknown to MCC. <br />What was the temperature of the water sampled at the horizontal drill hole? The <br />' temperature was about 74°F, compared with water from the Edwards Portal spring at around <br />86°F. There is another heat sowce and there is strong evidence of spontaneous combustion <br />continuing to occur (as it historically has, according to MSHA) in the Bear C-Seam <br />wworkings. <br />'" - e the Edwards Portal spring water is not coming from the West E!k Mine, where is it <br />coming from?
