Record the focal weight <br />of the slurry and check the pH. If the pH of the sample is greater than <br />8.9, adjust it to 8.9 or slightly less, by using a lOt HxSO. solution. <br />Adjust the pH to a stable 8.9. Record the stable pH and the mount of <br />solution used. Afterwards decant and filter the liquor from the solids and <br />test as outlined in the following sections.
