Figure
F-1 is a color coded version of the Reclamation Map that show the
various types of reclamation proposed on the mine. The green areas
are to be or have been revegetated, the tan areas are graded and
shaped to be used for the batch plants or their accessory uses and
the blue area is where the existing spring is at this time.
EXISTING CONDITIONS
On the eastern parcel the batch plants are now on site and
being operated. The paving is complete and gravel drives are main-
tained around them. Recycling has been taking place in the central
area and there are large stockpiles of material on site at this time.
The reclamation area along the railroad and on Colorado Blvd. have
been seeded for a number of years and are very stable. The spring
area (blue) was been on the site prior to mining and predates Office
of the State Engineer groundwater exposure regulations (pre 1980).
Only the armoring along the spring needs to be placed.
On the western parcel backfilling has started, as the final
level is approached the slopes will be final graded to 2:1 and
resoiled with 12 inches of growth medium to prepare it for seeding.
The top area will then be graded and graveled for use for equipment
storage or truck parking until final development takes place under
the County PUD approval.
TABLE F -SEED MIX
SPECIES ' BS ^ YLS B 'IN MIX
Thickspike Wheatgrass 1.13 9
Crested Wheatgrass 1.88 15
Intermediate Wheatgrass 1.38 11
Slender Wheatgrass 1.48 11
Sideoats Grama 1.13 9
Blue Grama 0.56 5
Buffalo Grass 3.13 25
Little Bluestem 0.56 5
oats 1.25 10
TOTAL POUNDS 12.50 100
2
RECLAMATION TIMETABLE
